We accompany and allow ourselves to be accompanied.

Michel Schäfer, born and raised in the Wuppertal area (Germany).
I studied social pedagogy in Essen and, after completing my training as a social therapist in Dornach, I created this small community in 1997 to put into practice new approaches in education and communal living.
For over 30 years, I have been deeply committed to working with children and youth. I had the privilege of teaching German and sports for four years at the local Waldorf school.
Creating concrete experiences of « living together and being human » is the central mission for me. Building a mutually supportive relationship to achieve collectively agreed-upon goals is therefore my objective.
I prefer not to spend valuable time on administrative tasks that do not contribute to the main purpose and limit them to the bare minimum.
With this project of living a low-consumption life in nature, I feel that I am getting closer to the urgent need for sustainability and social freedom in harmony with our planet.

Julie Lecourtois, born in 1986 in northern France, horse breeder.
I grew up primarily with my father’s horses. At the age of 18, I set out to gain my own experiences in various equestrian establishments throughout France. After completing my training as a horse breeder and with the life experience I acquired, I established my own horse breeding business in the Auvergne region in 2010. Horses are the essence of my life because they reflect, honestly and clearly, how we treat them.

Dr. Rose Haferkamp, born in 1953, ethnologist/psychotherapist, with a second residence in the Auvergne for over 25 years.
I have known Michel for almost 10 years and have accompanied his work and life, along with his family and the many young people who have found a new path in their lives there, through numerous long conversations.
The path he takes with the young people is very special and often the only way for them to truly find themselves. It brings me joy to be a part of these journeys – reflecting, inspiring, compassionate, thoughtful – observing attentively from the outside and seeking meaningful conversations beyond all our differences, including with children and teenagers.
That is my role!
I offer supervision and dialogue workshops related to the activities of the holiday workshop, as well as therapeutic conversations with children and teenagers.
My working languages are German and English, and depending on the assessment of the working relationship, I can also offer French.
Financial arrangements will be discussed personally in advance.
