Family-oriented support and guidance
The « Ferienwerkstatt » has been providing support for various institutions such as German and French youth welfare offices, associations, schools, the justice system, as well as private individuals for many years. However, this is subject to our available capacity. We always aim to maintain the family structure and not establish a « traditional » youth welfare facility.
The animals and the farm provide the rhythmic daily structure, while individuals with different needs and abilities contribute to its expansion.
Those who wish to live here in peaceful tolerance are welcome to initiate an inquiry without any obligation.
If a spot becomes available, we will work together to determine what is possible. The basis is always an attempt to perceive the individual and decide together whether coexistence is feasible.
Only then can self-determined development take place, which we are happy to support with our life experience.
These conditions offer individual children and teenagers, among other things, a pedagogical internship to open up a new perspective on life when they are at risk of falling into an unstable life situation.
We hope that our offer will be accessed before « the child has already fallen into the well. »
Therefore, shorter stays are also possible, and it would not be the first time that they are repeated at intervals without turning them into direct crisis interventions.

Autonomous Youth Recreation
In a small group, up to 6 young people independently design their own vacations for a period of 3 weeks. One of the goals is to experience and actively shape social responsibility in a concrete way for a limited time.
From the content orientation – what do we want to do or experience together – to the realistic financial implementation, planning is done, if necessary, with our guidance. Each participant contributes a certain amount of money to the shared fund, and decisions are made collectively on how the expenses will be allocated, such as purchasing food or engaging in recreational activities, etc. In addition to creating a unique holiday experience, this project aims to foster the practice, endurance, and growth of democracy.
Freedom, equality, and fraternity are not just lofty words in Europe; they can also be concretely realized on a small scale. Heated discussions are expected and will be accompanied – freely in the sense that « wholesome is only when the mirror of the human soul reflects the whole community, and in the community, the individual soul’s strength lives. »

Internship
As we have been collaborating with nearby agricultural farms for several years, we also offer internship positions for 9th-grade agricultural internships to support the Waldorf school system.
Starting at the age of 14 as an intern in the agricultural internship…
…at the age of 19, taking over as a vacation replacement and being responsible for the entire farm. (We also take vacations from time to time.)
Holidays for Single Parents
People in this life situation with low income can participate in the Ferienwerkstatt with their children (+ possibly pets) and benefit from moments of individual relaxation, depending on the current circumstances. This is mainly dependent on the composition of the community, so feel free to inquire on short notice and don’t take it personally if it’s not possible at the moment.
